Head Coach - Varsity
Justin McDowell
Coach McDowell begins his fourth year leading the Titans' baseball program with a record of 58-21 at Triway. Formerly he was the head coach at Waynedale High School with a career record of 101-44 there. In five years, his teams won 3 WCAL titles, 3 district titles, 1 regional title, 1 regional runner-up, and were the D3 state runner up in 2016. Eleven former players have gone on to play college baseball.

McDowell played baseball collegiately at the College of Wooster where he helped the Scots to the College World Series and national runner up in 2009. He was first team all NCAC 3 times, twice all region, and was an All-American in 2009 when he led the NCAA in wins (13). During his four years at Wooster, the Scots compiled an overall record of 140-38.

After college, McDowell helped coach pitchers at the College of Wooster for two years and was an assistant coach on the Wayne County Legion team. He began his education career in 2012 teaching freshmen history at Waynedale.

Personally, McDowell is married to his wife, Annie, who is the elementary STEAM teacher at Triway. They have a five year old son, Holden, and a two year old son, Madden. Originally, he grew up in Willard, Ohio, and graduated from there in 2007.

Assistant Coach - Varsity
Brandon "BG" Giles
Coach Giles is in his fourth year at Triway. Previously, he was an assistant with Coach McDowell at Waynedale High School for five years. He excels at working with infielders, catchers, and development in the weight room.

Coach is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology / Sports Medicine, and of Walsh University with a Master's Degree in Education. He currently works for Triway as the Athletic Trainer and Weight Room Coordinator.

Coach Giles resides in Canton with his wife, Leah, and three children - Sofia, Vincenzo, and Rocco.

Head Coach - JV
Andrew Marcum
Coach Marcum is in his sixteenth year as a coach in the Triway baseball program - ten with the high school and six at 14U. He primarily works with outfielders.

Coach is a graduate of DeVry Univeristy in Columbus with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, and of Malone University with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He currently works at The J.M. Smucker Company as a DevOps Engineer. He serves as a volunteer statistician for the Triway football and basketball teams, and is a member of the Triway Athletic Booster Club and trustee of Wayne Holmes Baseball League, Inc.

Coach Marcum resides in Wooster with his wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Avery.

Tyrone Hostetler
Coach Hostetler is in his third year coaching at Triway. Previously, he was an assistant baseball coach at Waynedale for a season, and coached at Kingsway Christian from 2003-2007.

Coach currently works at Venture Products as a CNC operator. He has also recently taken over as the head coach of the Lady Titans soccer program after being the girls soccer coach at Waynedale previously.

David Taggart
Coach Taggart is in his third year coaching baseball at Triway. He is a 1989 graduate of Smithville High School where he starred on the baseball diamond as a pitcher and infielder.

Coach is the owner of Tag's Termite Control, a family business of 3 generations. Over the years, he has worked in the youth programs for baseball, basketball, and soccer, and was the statistician for the Triway boys basketball and soccer teams for a long time.

He resides in Wooster and has two sons, Jakob (Baldwin Wallace) and Landon (Triway High School).
